David Portway Data Collection Supervisor

David provides support for various research activities at APWC. David has worked as a lab technician at the Queensland Museum curating the invertebrate collection. He has also worked as a research assistant undertaking sample collection and sorting for invertebrates for a study that was aimed to understand edge effects on invertebrate populations. He has worked on numerous commercial and industry audits at APC leading laboratory analysis of moisture content at paper mills and particle size distribution of MRFs outputs. Since 2011, David has worked as a lab technician at the Queensland Museum curating the invertebrate collection. He has also worked as a research assistant at ANU undertaking sample collection and sorting for invertebrates for a study that was aimed to understand edge effects on invertebrate populations. He has worked on numerous commercial and industry waste audits and has lead laboratory analysis of moisture content at paper mills and particle size distribution of MRFs outputs. David achieved his Bachelor of Science in 2011 from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management in 2016 from the University of Queensland.
